OVERVIEW

The WinSystems’ XP Embedded Quick Start Kit (Kit) was designed to quickly familiarize the development engineer with the fundamentals of the Windows XP Embedded (XPe) tool suite. The Kit includes a Resource CD, a sample XPe build on a 2048 MB CompactFlash and a tutorial called the WinSystems’ XP Embedded FP2007 Quick Start Guide (Guide).

Windows XP Embedded (XPe) offers the power of the Windows XP Professional operating system in componentized form. XPe works with WinSystems’ Pentium® compatible Single Board Computers (SBCs) operating 366 MHz and over. It is based on the same binary code as the Microsoft flagship operating system, Windows XP Professional. In addition, Windows XP Embedded provides developers flexibility when working with Windows XP platform technology, allowing them to meet the specific requirements of embedded devices.
